Allen H. & Nydia Meyers Foundation

The Allen H. & Nydia Meyers Foundation is a non-profit organization founded in 1966 by Allen H. and Nydia Meyers to encourage, support, and stimulate scientific education, teaching, research, and related efforts such as engineering and aerospace study and design.

The current goal of the Foundation is to provide early financial support for young men and women interested in post secondary education for aeronautics or scientific careers.

Since its inception, the Foundation has made approximately 819 student awards and 37 institutional grants and given a total of $671,943.20 in grants and awards.

Students have majored in such fields as aviation, aerospace sciences, biology, chemistry, engineering, medicine and nursing.

Historically, project grants supported exploration in such areas as leukemia, cancer chemotherapy and sickle cell anemia. Grants-in-aid to medical departments have helped to convene scientists from all over the world to exchange their experiences in the frontiers of research, scientific concepts and philosophy.
